Computer Requirements for Video Card

Desktop Computer

Minimum: 2 Video Card

Also called graphics adapter, display adapter, video adapter. A circuit board that enables a computer to display information on its screen'); >Video Card
s or dual output Video Card

Also called graphics adapter, display adapter, video adapter. A circuit board that enables a computer to display information on its screen'); >Video Card
that has the ability to extend the
windows desktop to a second monitor.

Recommended: nVidia GeForce 6600 or higher (PCI Express

A high-speed peripheral interconnect from Intel introduced in 2002. Note that although abbreviated PCX, PCI Express is not the same as PCI-X. Intending to eventually replace the PCI and AGP buses entirely, PCI Express was designed to match the higher speeds of todays CPUs. It can accommodate Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet and even support chip-to-chip transfers.

Switched Architecture

Rather than the shared, parallel bus structure of PCI, PCI Express provides a high-speed, switched architecture. Each PCI Express link is a serial communications channel made up of two differential wire pairs that provide 2.5 Gbits/sec in each direction. Up to 32 of these lanes may be combined in x2, x4, x8, x16 and x32 configurations, creating a parallel interface of independently controlled serial links. The bandwidth of the switch backplane determines the total capacity of a PCI Express implementation.

Different Slots

Originally called Third Generation I/O (3GIO), PCI Express is software compatible with PCI, but not plug compatible. It also uses slots of different lengths because of the combined lanes '); >PCI Express
or 8x AGP

(Accelerated Graphics Port) A high-speed port developed by Intel that is designed for the display adapter (video card) only. It provides a direct connection between the card and memory, and only one AGP slot is on the motherboard. AGP was introduced as a higher-speed alternative to the PCI-based adapter, plus it freed up a PCI slot to be used for another peripheral device. The brown AGP slot is slightly shorter than the white PCI slot and is located about an inch farther back.

AGP uses a 32-bit bus. The original AGP standard (AGP 1x) provided a data transfer rate of 264 Mbytes/sec. AGP 2x is 528 Mbytes/sec. AGP 4x is 1 Gbyte/sec. AGP 8x is 2 Gbytes/sec.

>AGP
) with 128MB unshared
Video RAM

Capture Card: ViewCast Osprey 100, 210 and 230 found at viewcast.com, AverMedia DVD
EZMaker PCI and ADSTech Instant Video PCI (PTV-390)

Notes:

Laptop Computer

Minimum: Onboard video graphics card that has the ability to extend the windows desktop
to a second monitor.

Recommended: nVidia GeForce, ATI Radeon X200 or higher or Intel GMA 915 or higher
with 128MB unshared Video RAM
Must have the ability to extend the windows desktop to a second monitor.
Capture Card: We do not recommend using a laptop for live video feeds. Most capture
solutions for laptops cause an undesirable amount of latency.

Important!: Some laptops do not have EasyWorship compatible Video Card

Also called graphics adapter, display adapter, video adapter. A circuit board that enables a computer to display information on its screen'); >Video Card
s in them.
Laptop Video Card

Also called graphics adapter, display adapter, video adapter. A circuit board that enables a computer to display information on its screen'); >Video Card
s cannot be upgraded.

Before you purchase a laptop:

Notes:
The Screen of the laptop will be the primary monitor (working monitor) and the svga
or xvga 15 pin connector on the back will be the second monitor output ( to the projector,
or split and also go to a second monitor). The laptop must be connected to the projector,
and the unit powered on, before you boot the laptop. This will allow the computer
to see the secondary connection so it can allow you to set up a dual monitor display.

Recommended Video Card

Also called graphics adapter, display adapter, video adapter. A circuit board that enables a computer to display information on its screen'); >Video Card
Chipsets:
NVidia GeForce 6600, 6800, 7600, 7900
Intel 915 or above

Powerpoint Conversion to EasyWorship - Various Methods from EasyWorship Forum

Posted: 07 Jul 2007 02:47 Post subject:

You can convert multiple PPT presentations into txt files using
a program from here:
http://www.softinterface.com/DL/DL_UserData_Proc.asp or here http://www.convertzone.com/ppt2txt/help.htm

Then, you can download the conversion tool here:
and convert the txt files to EasyWorship by using the CCLI converter.

I wouldn't bother converting the songs from PowerPoint because they will still have to be extensively edited to put the CCLI and copyright info in the right place as well as edit in the Verse, chorus, Intro, Bridge and End headers.

Use SongSelect instead (from snapshot 2) and it will bring in the song ready to use. You will only need to add the songs as you need them and it won't be long until you find that the common ones are already available.

PostPosted: 12 Jan 2004 17:14 Post subject: Exporting songs

With our previous piece of software we could export all our songs into a text file so that our worship leader could take them home for use in preparing worship.

I cannot see that facility here. Is there a way of doing it from the song database file - or any other method?

The songs are stored in a database. You can open it with Word or Access and you should be able to use the "Words" field to get the words out. These are stored in RichText format.

Save them in an EasyWorship schedule and then open that schedule on the destination computer. It will prompt you to have them added at which time you can just select Yes or OK to add them.

Hi Jeff,

Can you elaborate a little on the above please. i.e. Which versions of Word or Access are needed. Also which is the actual file which contains the words (Choice of Songs.DB, Songs.MB, Songs.PX, Songs.TV, Songs.XG0 etc...). Do I just open as a Word document or is something else needed - plug ins etc.

Thanks

The file to open is song.db but you will need all the files for it work. In Access you can link to the file. Once you do that, you can view the fields within the database.

Open Access, create a new Access database, then select Tables in the Database view, right click and select Link Tables and then select the Songs.DB file.

We have two computers that are used in different parts of our building. How can I get the database from one computer copied to the other one? I really don't want to start retyping them all!

Thanks!

You could copy your data directory to a CD and then replace the Data directory on the destination computer for a complete transfer. This will replace any songs already on the destination computer.

Or you could copy just the songs you want to update on the destination computer into a schedule and then open the schedule on the destination computer for EasyWorship to automatically add the new songs.

What files do I need to copy and what is the file path? I want to be sure they are readily available and I get it all the first time! Thanks a bunch!

The files are typically stored at \Program Files\Softouch\EasyWorship\Data. You need the entire folder more or less and you will want to totally replace the data directory on the destination computer. I recommend renaming the data directory on the destination to something like data backup or something.
